Government Funded Programs:
Tuition fee for Traineeships - 2012
Available for Certificate II through to Advanced Diploma in selected Traineeship Courses.
This tuition fee covers the teacher cost only. This is for funded Traineeships and not for “fee for Service” Traineeships. Student must be employed for less than 3 months full-time or 12 months part-time to be eligible for funding*.
*Skills Victoria funding also available for eligible persons
KAL Multimedia has funding for “Certificate III – DIPLOMA of Business Administration”
Certificate III in Children’s services and Diploma of children’s services (mature age over 25 years)
Skills Victoria funding program from - 2009-2012 “Courses delivered under Victorian Government funding”
Concession rate available at Certificate II-IV level (Showing of a government low income health care card) This rate does not apply is regards to the enrolment fee.

Am I eligible for a government subsidised training place?
As of 2010 you are eligible for a government subsidised training place if you:
- Meet one of the following citizen/residency status:
o Australian citizen
o Australian Permanent Resident (holder of a permanent visa)
o holder of a Special Category Visa (sub-class 444, New Zealand citizen)
o East Timorese asylum seeker, or
o holder of a Temporary Protection Visa.
And any of the following:
- under 20 years old (on 1 January in the year in which the course commences)
- between 20-24 years (on 1 January in the year in which the course commences) and enrolling in a qualification higher than the highest qualification you already hold – or a Foundation level course
- enrolling in a Diploma or Advanced Diploma and you do not already hold a qualification at an equivalent or higher level
- a retrenched worker and enrolling in a qualification at a higher level that you already hold or a Foundation level course. You will need certain documentation from your employment services/job network provider and you must have been retrenched since 1 January 2009.
Australian Government VET FEE-HELP assistance
VET FEE-HELP is a student loan scheme for the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector that is part of the Higher Education Loan Program (HELP). VET FEE-HELP assists eligible students undertaking certain VET courses of study (diploma, advanced diploma, graduate certificate and graduate diploma courses) with an approved VET provider, to pay for all or part of their tuition costs.

Training costs are the responsibility of the trainee. According to Skills Victoria performance agreement, the trainee is to pay the set “Tuition fee” prior to commencing of Training, thus confirming enrolment.
